2019IAME Successfully Closed

Each year in September, NIIAM holds an international conference and exhibition event, the International Additive Manufacturing Expo, shorted as IAME. IAME is composed of Forums, Exhibitions and Competition, which brings together industry, academia and government to provide a single platform for collaboration and innovation in additive manufacturing.

This year, the third IAME was held on September 19th -21st at Xi’an International Convention Center, Shaanxi, China. 2019 IAME was co-organized with Xi’an Jiaotong University and Shaanxi Association of Science and Technology. It included activities as follows: 1) International Top-Level Forum on Engineering Science and Technology Development Strategy - Additive Manufacturing; 2) High-level Panel Discussions; 3) Additive Manufacturing Parallel Forums; 4) China (Xi’an) International Additive Manufacturing Expo; 5) International 3D Printing and Design Competition; 6) 2019 Annual Meeting of Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing Institution of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society; 7) 2019 Annual Meeting of National Industrial Technology Innovation Strategy Alliance of Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing).

This year, IAME invited over 70 experts, researchers, and scholars, among them there are7 academicians from China, Canada, and France. 2019 IAME were joined with over 50 exhibitors, attracted over 10000 visitors in the three day event, among them 70% were professionals. 

 2019IAME Opening Ceremony, September 19th,2019

In the morning, September 19th 2019, the Opening Ceremony of 2019 International Additive Manufacturing Expo (IAME) was presided over by Jiyuan ZHAO, the General Manager of the National Innovation Institute of Additive Manufacturing. Guanghua FANG, Vice Governor of Shaanxi Province, and Maizeng ZHANG, Party Secretary of Xi 'an Jiaotong University attended and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.

International Top-Level Forum on Engineering Science and Technology Development Strategy - Additive Manufacturing, September 19th, 2019

International Top-Level Forum on Engineering Science and Technology Development Strategy - Additive Manufacturing, the main forum of 2019 IAME, was sponsored by Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), this is the third year that CAE chose additive manufacturing as the subject of its International Top-Level Forum on Engineering Science and Technology Development Strategy. In 2019, this Forum brought together Academicians Bingheng LU and Huaming WANG of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Ruxu Du of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, Alain BERNARD and Jian LV of the National Academy of Technologies of France, Tie-sheng CAO from Tangdu Hospital of Air Force Mediccal University, Weidong HUANG from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Kehong WANG from Nanjing Polytechnic University, Bertrand WATTRISSE of University of Montpellier, France and Imade KOUTIRI of Arts et Métiers ParisTech, France.

High-level Panel Discussions, September 19th, 2019

On September 19th 2019, after the main forum, a panel discussion was organized. Bingheng LU, Jian LU, Alain BERNARD, Bertrand WATTRISSE, Imade KOUTIRI, Weidong HUANG, Tie-sheng CAO communicated with attendees directly answering questions arranging from additive manufacturing technology development status, prospects and challenges.

Parallel Forums,September 20th-21st 2019

From September 20th to September 21st , six parallel forums were held, focusing on "Additive Manufacturing and Aerospace, Additive Manufacturing for Medical, Additive Manufacturing Processes and Equipment, Additive Manufacturing and Design Innovation, Additive Manufacturing and Education, Finance and Investment for Additive Manufacturing " respectively. Over 60 experts, researchers, and scholars, were invited to update their latest research fruits ,share their knowledge, and contribute their in-depth thoughts.

China (Xi’an) International Additive Manufacturing Expo,September 19th-21st 2019

On September 19th-21st, 2019 China (Xi 'an) International 3D Printing Expo, was held. Over 50 industry well-known enterprises like GE, HP, Renishaw, 3D SYSTEMS, SLM Solutions, Bright Laser, Farsoon, AMC Powder, Shaanxi Hengtong, Shanghai Digital Manu, and 3DP Technology,LASERADD, joined the exhibition bringing their latest research results and applications.

2019 International 3D Printing and Design Competition（I3DC）,September 19th-21st 2019

2019 International 3D Printing and Design Competition (I3DC) was upgraded from National 3D Printing and Design Competition. It was composed of four divisions: Youths, Professionals, University Students and Vocational Students. 2019 I3DC final competition was held from September 19th- 20th with 21 teams competing in each division. Awarding Ceremony was held in September 21st,2019.
